Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Analyst to join our client, a leading Life Sciences organisation based in Church Stretton.

As a Quality Control Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and safety of products. Your focus will be on supporting project work related to new test method development and validation. Additionally, you will conduct analytical testing of raw materials and final products, prepare release documentation, and label finished products.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and final products using established methods.
  • Test products using chemical tests.
  • Manage product release and stock control.
  • Participate in project and new method development work.
  • Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment.
  • Prepare samples and stock solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all testing activities, results, and observations.
Ideal Candidate
  • An enthusiastic, self-starter capable of working independently and within a professional team.
  • Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.
  • Prior experience in a QC or analytical laboratory setting.
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as ICP, Microwave digestion, GC-MS, HPLC, or particle size analysis.
Additional Details

This role is an 18-month temporary contract, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
