Job summary

EMR Group is seeking a Metal Quality Inspector at our Penshaw depot. You will manage depot traffic flow, act as the first point of contact for customers, and help ensure accurate grading of scrap deliveries while maintaining EMR standards.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar role and be proficient with Excel, contributing to safe, efficient operations and high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage all vehicles entering and exiting the depot, liaising with customers and team members to keep a steady flow of traffic.
• Act as first point of contact for customers to resolve issues, developing professional relationships.
• Compile reports and update EMR's database, accurately grading incoming/outgoing scrap deliveries to EMR standards.
• Identify and separate non-conforming materials, recording evidence and applying associated penalties.
• Assist in hand sorting and separating different metal types and grades into bays, bales or containers.

What You Will Be Doing:

• You will act as first point of contact for customers to resolve any issues/problems, developing and maintaining professional relationships.


• You will compile reports and update EMR's database plus accurately grading incoming and outgoing scrap deliveries to agreed EMR standards.


• You will assist in Identifying and separating non-conforming materials, recording and documenting evidence, and applying the associated penalties.


• You will provide assistancein hand sorting and separating different metal types and grades into the relevant bays, bales or containers.
