Job summary

Bradgate Bakery, based in Leicester, is seeking a quality control professional to perform regular checks and audits on ingredients, calibrate measuring devices, collect samples, and monitor production lines for safety and quality. You will coordinate taste panels and log results, while auditing documentation for foreign body controls.

The role offers progression within a growing food production environment and a strong team culture with focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Regular checks and audits for GMP and traceability.
• Calibrate scales and temperature probes.
• Collect micro samples, water samples and environmental swabs.
• Monitor production lines for safety and quality.
• Log taste panel results in Excel.
• Audit production documentation for foreign body controls.

Responsibilities

• Performing regular checks and audits on meat and non-meat ingredients (GMP, traceability, fabrication etc.) in order to monitor compliance with food safety requirements and prepare the necessary reports.
• Calibrating scales, temperature probes and other measuring devices
• Collecting micro samples, water samples and environmental swabs
• Monitoring production lines to ensure product safety, quality and compliance with customer’s requirements
• Co-ordinating and take part in daily taste panels and logging results into excel spreadsheet.
• Auditing production documentation and procedures in place for foreign body controls including glass & hard plastic audit
