The QA Technician will work as support to the Quality and Hygiene management team, supporting the overall department functions with internal audits, third-party audit support, and compliance management.

Key tasks include handling customer complaints, returns, and enquiries, locating retained samples for investigation and re-testing, working with all departments to assist in the maintenance of the product safety and quality management system, and assisting with documentation and monthly stock takes.

Essential Duties and Tasks

  • Internal auditing on Quality, Health & Safety and environmental systems.
  • Involvement in 3rd party audits.
  • Logging and investigation of customer complaints and arranging collections where required.
  • Dealing with customer returns in a timely manner to enable complaints to be closed in a timely manner and ensuring any non-conforming product is controlled according to the requirements of the standards.
  • Assisting with onboarding of employees through food safety inductions and other relevant site based inductions as and when required
  • Dealing with customer questionnaires and enquiries.
  • Collation of required paperwork and information to comply with the systems.
  • Aid in monthly stock takes on 1st of every month

Qualifications & Experience

· Preferable experience with ISO9001 and BRCGS Packaging Materials Global Standard

· Preferable experience with internal auditing and HACCP

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Attention to detail

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· A self starter, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Full Time, Permanent Role. Working Monday to Friday as core working hours.
