Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join a busy food manufacturing environment on a night shift. The role is temporary with potential to become permanent, based in Northampton.

You will perform food safety checks, support HACCP and QMS, and work closely with production and management to maintain high standards. The position requires hands-on QA experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work on the production floor during the night shift.

Qualifications

• QA professional with experience in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, or quality procedures.
• Able to work nights on production floor.
• Able to communicate with colleagues and management.
• Reliable, organized and detail oriented.
• Basic MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular quality and food safety checks.
• Monitor production areas and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Complete GMP, hygiene, glass and hard plastic audits.
• Support HACCP and QMS checks and identify improvements.
• Complete quality paperwork, certificates and product release checks.
• Take and submit samples for laboratory testing as required.
• Carry out checks and calibrations on key equipment.
• Work with Production and Management to resolve issues.
• Support training and ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Take part in production taste panels.
• Spend around 80% of shift on the production floor.

Quality Assurance Supervisor (QA) - Temp to Perm

Northampton, NN5

£14.79 - 17.00 per hour

Sunday to Wednesday, 8:00pm - 6:00am

4 nights per week, finishing at 6:00am Thursday

Temporary ongoing with potential to be made Permanent

We are urgently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Supervisor (QA) to join a busy food manufacturing environment.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced QA professional looking to secure a potential permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out regular quality and food safety checks to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Monitor production areas and make sure procedures are being followed correctly.
• Complete routine GMP, hygiene, glass and hard plastic audits.
• Support with HACCP and QMS checks and help identify any areas for improvement.
• Complete quality paperwork, certificates and product release checks.
• Take and submit samples for laboratory testing when required.
• Carry out checks and calibrations on key equipment.
• Work closely with the Production and Management teams to resolve any quality or food safety issues.
• Support with training and help ensure team members are following the correct procedures.
• Take part in production taste panels.
• Spend around 80% of your shift on the production floor, working closely with the team.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Is comfortable working on the production floor.
• Has basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

• Has previous experience in food manufacturing, QA or a technical role - this is desirable but not essential.
• Has knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP or quality procedures - an advantage but not essential.

You’ll spend most of your shift on the production floor, working closely with the Production and Technical teams. You’ll also need to be comfortable working independently during the night shift and confident raising any quality or food safety concerns when needed.
