Job summary

Inspired Global Cuisine in Oldham is seeking an experienced QA Team Leader to coordinate the QA Technologist team and ensure daily quality assurance duties meet the highest standards.

You will coach and mentor QA Technologists in food safety, quality, legality and integrity, lead investigations into complaints and defects, and drive continuous improvement across the Technical function. This is an ideal step for an existing QA Supervisor aiming to progress within a growing manufacturing business.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating a QA team in food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food safety, legality and product integrity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use initiative and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinating and assigning tasks across the QA Technologist team, escalating issues to the QA Manager as needed
• Coaching, developing and mentoring QA Technologists in food safety, quality, legality and integrity best practice
• Representing Technical/QA at daily production meetings
• Leading investigations into customer/consumer complaints and product defects
• Investigating microbiological out-of-specification results, including additional sampling and swabbing
• Supporting and leading QA projects to drive site Technical performance
• Overseeing GMP audits, CCP checks, hygiene audits, and verification of food safety, quality and legality processes
• Reviewing and verifying Certificates of Analysis against deliveries and specifications
• Raising and investigating internal and external non-conformances
• Supporting external audits and visits
• Organising and running consistency and sensory (taste) panels
• Managing traceability exercises and reporting on findings

Inspired Global Cuisine is a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Chadderton, Oldham, Manchester. The Role

Reporting to the QA Manager, you'll play a key role in coordinating our QA Technologist team, ensuring daily and weekly quality assurance duties are completed to the highest standard. You'll coach and mentor your team, lead investigations, and act as a driving force behind continuous improvement across our Technical function.

What We're Looking For

• Food Safety Level 3 and/or HACCP Level 2 desirable
• Experience in food handling/manufacturing and within a similar QA role desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to use initiative
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident using Outlook, Word and Excel
• An analytical, methodical approach to problem-solving
