Responsibilities

1. Responsible for Quality Assurance and Product/Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory compliance, adhering to local, international, health and food safety regulations.
2. Have a comprehensive understanding of specifications from goods in to dispatch to airside.
3. Communicate non-conformances through all stages of Quality Assurance to the relevant departments – Operations, Purchasing, Logistics and Transport.
4. Carry out training of QA team and all DO&CO employees to ensure compliance with customer specifications and standard operating procedures.
5. Maintain close working relationships with operational departments and ensure continuous flow of information relating to quality and production performance.
6. Liaise with production management to ensure SOPs are followed and staff are trained appropriately.
7. Allocate work for QA staff on shift.
8. Lead and direct internal audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
9. Support the Quality Assurance management team as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry in a similar role.
