Job description

Quality Assurance Supervisor
Near Snodland | Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 5.00 pm | £34,000 - £40,000 pa

Overview

KHR is partnering with a distinguished manufacturer to find a highly efficient, hands-on quality assurance professional for an exciting senior QA role. This position offers a clear pathway into management for candidates with a strong background in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry, seeking increased responsibility.

Responsibilities
  1. Support the achievement of right-first-time (RFT) manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction.
  2. Develop and maintain Quality Management Systems in collaboration with the Head of Quality.
  3. Address daily quality and hygiene issues, implementing effective solutions.
  4. Manage the Quality and Hygiene teams, providing coaching, development, and disciplinary support.
  5. Control non-conformance reports (NCRs) and root cause analyses (RCAs), following up on actions.
  6. Ensure positive product release and maintain calibration records.
  7. Conduct validations, internal audits, and prepare reports.
  8. Manage supplier approval processes and documentation.
  9. Perform shelf-life testing, traceability audits, and assist with customer complaints.
  10. Train staff on QMS procedures, lessons, and workshops.
  11. Control hold stock and analyze GMP, NCRs, complaints, and foreign bodies.
  12. Prepare monthly quality dashboards and support external audits.
  13. Support the Hygiene team and cover for the Head of Quality as needed.
Candidate Profile
  1. Experience in QA or similar roles within food manufacturing.
  2. Ability to work independently and in teams.
  3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  4. Excellent management skills.
  5. Experience with BRC and advanced food hygiene training.
  6. Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  7. Degree in food science or related discipline preferred but not essential.
