Qualifications

Job description

Working Hours: 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 to 13:00 on Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join an established engineering business in Tewkesbury.

The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee all quality assurance functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and work closely with production, engineering, and third parties to maintain and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with ISO 13485.
  2. Ensure technical documentation conforms with audit requirements.
  3. Manage documentation and reporting for non-conformances (NCR), deviations, and complaints.
  4. Act as the first point of contact for all quality issues, maintaining high customer service standards.
  5. Oversee and manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues and providing feedback to production/engineering.
  6. Lead internal and external audits, working with third parties to ensure compliance.
  7. Serve as the primary contact with regulatory authorities for quality-related matters and during audits.
  8. Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, reporting findings to Directors/Senior Management.
  9. Oversee supplier quality assurance, ensuring high standards for subcontractors.
  10. Ensure the health and safety of the premises, providing a safe working environment for all team members.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in Quality Management/Quality Assurance Management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Essential).
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 (Desirable).
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills focused on efficiency and quality.
  • Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office), with experience of Sage 200 an advantage.
