Job summary

Alfred H Knight in Liverpool, UK is seeking a Laboratory Quality Manager to lead the QMS within the group QHSE function, ensuring ISO 17025/ISO 9001 compliance and supporting accreditation commitments.

You will manage day‑to‑day quality standards at the AHK Laboratory, develop quality KPIs, roll out IQMS, and collaborate with management to deliver client service and continuous improvement.

Overseas travel may be required, typically up to two weeks per trip.

Qualifications

• Experience operating within an accredited laboratory QMS (ISO 17025) and knowledge of the AHKI QMS.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 9001 and related quality standards.
• Understanding of UKAS accreditation requirements.
• Adaptable, team player with strong communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QMS and ensure alignment with quality standards.
• Develop and monitor quality KPIs and rollout IQMS.
• Collaborate with laboratory management to meet accreditation commitments.
• Lead continuous improvement and provide training as needed.
