Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for Repairs & Maintenance in Central London to lead QA, performance management, and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations. The role is temporary (9 months) with potential progression to a two-year fixed term; you will design audits, monitor service performance via dashboards, and lead contractor assurance activities.

The position offers an hourly umbrella rate of £45-£50 and requires strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Proven management and leadership experience in a related public service field.
• Ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to produce reports and training materials.
• Ability to make legally compliant decisions at strategic and operational levels.
• Experience managing complex tasks simultaneously and delivering outputs within tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent presentation and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality assurance and performance management functions, providing independent scrutiny and assurance of service delivery, compliance, and customer outcomes.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance framework to ensure services meet all regulatory standards and contractual obligations.
• Provide professional advice and assurance on service performance and quality to the Head of Repairs & Maintenance.
• Design and deliver a programme of audits, service reviews, quality inspections, and assurance activities across operations.
• Monitor and evaluate service performance through detailed reports and dashboards, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead contractor challenge and recovery activities, and support staff management to ensure effective service delivery.
• Review and monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations and service standards.
• Investigate service failures and recommend corrective actions to improve service quality and compliance.
