Job DescriptionJob Overview:

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the Infrastructure team in Arm's Partner Enablement group on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Our Infrastructure team works on building and maintaining tooling and user interfaces vital for technical documentation and web content management. The QA Engineer will support a team of Software Engineers in enhancing user experience for both business users and customers.

As QA Engineer at Arm, you will be responsible for creating and executing various software tests throughout the agile development lifecycle of our web applications. This role is ideal for an experienced Test Analyst with automation knowledge, following best testing practices and implementing effective testing processes.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, business owners, and Software Engineers to understand business needs. Participate actively in scrum ceremonies like sprint planning to ensure transparency of progress.

  • Automate functional tests using web automation tools.
  • Assess and report application quality, developing automated tests.
  • Plan testing scope through Agile estimating and sprint planning.
  • Create BDD test scenarios, ensuring traceability to requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct testing according to defined standards.
  • Develop and execute manual, automation, or non-functional test cases, and report test status, risks, and issues promptly.
  • Create, validate, and report defects following the defect lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience :

You should be a diligent, enthusiastic, and confident individual committed to continuous improvement, with excellent communication skills and the ability to balance pace and quality effectively.

  • Experience automating web application tests using Selenium WebDriver with C#/Java frameworks.
  • Experience building Selenium tests with Page Object Model and BDD.
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, preferably C#.
  • Experience in Integration, Accessibility, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Deep knowledge of testing types, techniques, and practices.
  • ISTQB/ISEB Foundation level certification or equivalent experience.

Nice To Have Skills and Experience :

  • Experience with build tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gitlab.
  • Experience with non-functional testing, e.g., performance testing with Blazemeter.
