Job summary

Amey Ltd is seeking a permanent Quality Assistant to join the Specialist Bridges Inspection and Maintenance (SBIM) account based at Severn Bridge. You will support the Quality function, maintain records, assist audits, and help embed quality standards across delivery teams.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will coordinate documentation, track NCRs and improvement actions, and contribute to a positive quality culture.

Qualifications

• Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Maintaining quality records and documentation to ensure they remain accurate, controlled and compliant.
• Assisting with the administration and close-out of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Supporting root cause investigations and monitoring corrective and preventative actions.
• Coordinating and preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
• Tracking audit findings and improvement actions through to completion.
• Supporting compliance with ISO 9001, contract requirements, client standards and business procedures.
• Producing quality reports, dashboards and performance metrics.
• Coordinating quality briefings and maintaining associated compliance records.
• Acting as a central point of contact for quality documentation and records.
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives across the contract.
• Monitoring quality action plans and reporting on progress.
• Working collaboratively with operational, commercial and HSEQ teams to promote consistent quality standards.
• Providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of quality and assurance processes.
• Supporting documentation reviews and process improvement activities.
• Assisting with the implementation of new quality initiatives and business improvements.
