Join Our Team as a Quality Advisor at Nuclear Transport Solutions!

As a Quality Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our processes, procedures, and plans meet industry standards and exceed stakeholder and customer expectations.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Quality Advisor, you will:

  • Champion Quality and HSSEQ: Promote a culture of HSSEQ in the workplace and perform regular detailed inspections and audits across NTS and its supply chain.
  • Develop and Review Quality Plans: Support and provide advice on the development and review of quality plans to ensure they meet the appropriate standards.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of functional outputs.
  • Implement KPIs and Metrics: Produce data analysis reports that analyze and present quality trends, making recommendations for improvement activities.
  • Lead Quality Initiatives: Participate in quality and N&A improvement initiatives within the business lines across Cyber, SAR, and HSEQ.
  • Audit and Assurance: Ensure compliance is being met by NTS staff, supply chain, and contractors to required standards through auditing and assurance.
  • Support and Train Teams: Be an ambassador for Quality and Nuclear & Assurance in the business, providing hands-on practical guidance and delivering in-house training/awareness sessions.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Represent the Nuclear & Assurance Department at meetings with customers, professional bodies, and other industry groups, feeding back results to colleagues and other departments as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:

    • Internal Auditor Qualified
    • Experience and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements
    • Proven experience of engaging effectively with stakeholders on quality matters
    • Ability to interpret data and analyze trends to drive performance
  • Desirable:

    • Working towards CQI Chartered status
    • Knowledge of Radiological Protection Regulations
    • IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
    • IOSH Managing Safely/NEBOSH equivalent
    • Experience in investigation including root cause analysis
