Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Quality Advisor or Senior Quality Advisor to work on energy projects at Twinstead Green. The role focuses on driving a Quality First Time culture, educating teams, and delivering robust quality documentation across EPC projects.

You will mentor staff, conduct site audits, provide quality reports, and support contract and tender submissions. A senior quality background and CQI membership are preferred, with MS Office proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• Senior level Quality role experience.
• CQI membership at senior level.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Project).
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Champion the Quality – Right First Time initiative.
• Establish and promote best practice in quality with the Quality function.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve quality across projects.
• Mentor staff to understand Quality management systems.
• Carry out inspections and audits to ensure compliance with policies and contract requirements.
• Develop Quality campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with Quality Management.
• Provide reports and documentation, and support tender/submission quality.

A day in the life of a Murphy Quality Advisor/ Senior Quality Advisor

• Be a champion for the “Quality – Right First Time” initiative.
• Establish and promote best practice in quality matters in conjunction with the Quality function.
• Collaborate with engineering to educate the engineering community on to achieve better quality.
• Mentor and develop staff to ensure that they understand the Quality management systems.
• Carry out regular inspections/audits of sites and work places to find whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements.
• Promote the reporting of nonconformances and provide advice on closing out actions.
• Develop and implement Quality campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Quality Management..
• Produce Quality plans, procedures and associated documentation and check compliance.
• Identify significant Quality issues for contracts / yards and help set-up contracts / yards to include appropriate controls.
• Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements.
• Provide reports, presentations and information as directed by the Business / Quality Management.
• Provide input and review of pre‑qualification, tender and Quality award submissions.

• Experience within a Senior Quality role or a similar role.
• Relevant Quality Membership at Senior level (CQI)
• MS package knowledge (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project)
• Solid understanding of the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
• Previous experience within a Engineering or Construction environment.
