Job summary

GSL Education Newcastle Branch is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to support students across Middlesbrough. The role offers daily pay of £90–£120 depending on experience, with flexible full-time and part-time day-to-day or long-term placements.

Responsibilities include delivering targeted activities, supporting learning, and helping pupils develop confidence and independence. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) is required; safeguarding knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3.
• Previous classroom experience supporting children or young people.
• Understanding of effective learning support and classroom practices.
• Ability to work confidently with individuals and small groups.
• Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are looking for skilled and dependable Qualified Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in excellent schools across Middlesbrough. We are seeking practitioners who can contribute effectively to classroom learning, provide targeted academic support, and work collaboratively with teaching staff to meet a variety of educational needs.

The Qualified TA will play an active role in supporting lesson delivery, reinforcing key concepts, and providing focused assistance to individuals and groups throughout the school day.
