Job summary

Park Vale Academy is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and assist teachers across the school’s learning activities.

The role is part time (32.5 hours per week) during term time, with an induction and access to professional development through the Redhill Teaching Hub. A supportive team and recognition for achievements are offered.

Qualifications

• Support pupils, parents, teachers and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which students with special educational needs make good academic progress and can participate in activities across the Academy.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with SEN to access learning activities and reach individual targets.
• Support classroom teachers during lessons and manage classroom behaviour.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment across the Academy.
