Job summary

Parkdale Primary School in Nottingham is seeking two Level 4 Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to support teaching and learning and maximise participation. You will work with class teachers to plan enriching lessons, deliver intervention sessions for key groups, and provide teacher cover when required.

Qualifications

  • Qualified HLTA with appropriate experience.
  • Capable of planning and delivering small-group sessions.
  • Able to cover teacher duties and PPA when required.

Responsibilities

  • Work with class teachers to plan and deliver interventions and high-quality lessons.
  • Provide teacher and PPA cover when required.
  • Support learning and maximize participation for groups of children, including those with special needs.

The roles will includeworking withthe class teacherstocreatea stimulating learning environment through excellent classroom practice,plan and deliver interventionsessions for key groups of childrenandwhen required provideteacher and PPA cover, deliveringhigh quality lessons following the planning given.

We are a large, happy, multi-cultural school on the outskirts of the City of Nottingham, just (by a few hundred metres) into the County of Nottinghamshire. We are part of the Transform Trust, a multi-academy trust based in the East Midlands.

You will:
  1. Bean excellent Specialist/ Higher Level Teaching Assistant, who loves working with children
  2. Be able to provide creative, inspiring and enriching learning opportunities;
  3. Possess and use appropriate skills to undertake those activities necessary to meet the physical, emotional and educational needs of individuals and groups of children, including those with special needs
  4. Be an enthusiastic classroom practitioner with a positive attitude and high expectations of pupils’ attainment and behaviour
  5. Have high expectations of pupils’ achievements and a commitment to excellent standards;
  6. Work well as part of a team
  7. Be enthusiastic, energetic and committed to making learning exciting;
  8. Have excellent communication skills with children and adults
