TeacherActive is working with a friendly and inclusive Primary School in Colchester to appoint a dedicated KS1 Class Teacher. The role is full-time, five days a week, with responsibility for Year 1, planning and delivering lessons and assessing pupil progress.

• Experience teaching within a Primary School setting.
• Confidence teaching and planning across the KS1 curriculum.

KS1 Class Teacher.

The school provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to reach their full potential. They place a strong emphasis on inclusion, pupil wellbeing and high-quality teaching, with excellent support available from an experienced and committed staff team.

The successful Primary Teacher will take responsibility for a KS1

class on a full-time, 5-day-per-week basis. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement, and ensuring that children of all abilities are supported effectively.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Experience teaching within a Primary School setting.
• Confidence teaching and planning across the KS1 curriculum.
• High expectations for pupils of all abilities, including SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to teaching.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive school team.
