Job Description:

Your new company, Hays, has had an ongoing partnership with Birmingham City Council since 2017 and works closely with their adult services team to support the recruitment of experienced Qualified Social Workers who are passionate about adult social work.

Your new role:

• As a qualified social worker, you will work within a strong, established, and expanding team, undertaking caseloads with citizens and carers to identify needs and outcomes.
• Completing reviews and attending and participating in case discussions with health professionals.
• You will deliver an enhanced customer experience that promotes the well-being of vulnerable adults to enable them to live independently for longer, supporting them in retaining and regaining their skills and confidence.

In this position, you need to work in a fast-paced environment and have recent experience as a qualified Adult Social Worker, with skills in maintaining accurate records. You should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable managing both new and existing cases. An in-depth understanding of social work legislation and the ability to handle challenges with appropriate methods are essential.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Previous direct experience delivering social work to Adult Service users is essential.
• Knowledge of key legislation, report writing, and record maintenance skills.
• A Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS, or CCETSW approved equivalent).
• Current professional registration.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with adults in a Social Worker role.
