Qualified Social Worker - Children in Care

Location: Greater Manchester

Pay rate: £39 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Social Workers to join our dedicated Children in Care Team. You will work within a busy and supportive environment, assessing and working with children and families to intervene early and provide support. Your role involves working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, delivering person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional expertise, you will make assessments and decisions on appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure needs are met.

This role includes a capped caseload of 18, support from a dedicated manager, home working options, and time within the local authority. You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes for children, striving to provide the best possible care and support for vulnerable children and their families.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Dedicated to continuous improvement and high-quality service
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary, interagency settings
• At least 4 years of qualified experience
