Pay rate: £35 per hour

We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Children in Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's social work team in West Yorkshire. Our client has positions available in their Children in Care Team. You will be supported by an experienced team manager. The client has a strong and positive culture within this West Yorkshire local authority, which we would love you to be a part of. We offer regular monthly supervision and group reflective supervision.

As part of this team, you will work in a busy and supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support to ensure earlier help. Your role will involve establishing safe and stable environments for children, assessing risks, protecting children, supporting parents, and building relationships with family members.

Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your social work expertise and communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet identified needs. Your commitment will be towards achieving positive, sustainable outcomes for children, striving for best practices, and supporting children and families to thrive and flourish. Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
• Experience with Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases.

• Supporting child and family planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings.

• Understanding factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect.

• Ability to undertake Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis, decision-making, planning, and review.
• Skilled in direct work with children and families.

• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach.
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues.
• Continuous improvement mindset to achieve the best outcomes for children.
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
• Able to build meaningful relationships with children and families.
• Dedicated to providing high-quality services.
• Experience working within multi-disciplinary, interagency teams.
• Minimum 2 years qualified experience.
