Community Team Learning

Location: West Yorkshire

Pay rate: £35 per hour

We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join our dedicated Community Team Learning Team. You will be responsible for managing cases for which you are the named worker, intervening with legal and procedural authority to protect vulnerable people at risk of abuse or neglect, and supporting individuals, families, and groups to develop their capacity for independent living. This role involves working within the local authority and includes home working.

Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.

You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes. Using best practices, you will strive to provide the best results for your clients, with a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Ideal candidate will be:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
• Experienced in Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases

• Supporting child and family cases involving CIN and Child Protection planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings

• Knowledgeable of factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect

• Skilled in undertaking Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis, decision-making, planning, and review
• Proficient in direct work with children and families

• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach
• Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Dedicated to continuous improvement to achieve the best outcomes for children
• Excellent at mediation and negotiation on behalf of service users
• Skilled at building meaningful relationships to engage children and families in assessments and plans
• Committed to providing high-quality services
• Experienced in working within multi-disciplinary, interagency teams
• Minimum of 2 years' qualified experience

In this role, you will:
