Key Responsibilities:

1. Haringey Adult Services are committed to achieving the highest standards in care and safety so that residents can look after themselves and live more independent and fulfilling lives. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Social Worker to join the Haringey Adult Safeguarding.
2. To provide case management, guidance, support and expert advice to social care staff, students, and partner staff as and when required, maintaining the highest level of professional service.
3. Assess and prioritise incoming safeguarding referrals, from members of the public or other professionals or services: formulate an appropriate response and take action to resolve or refer as appropriate.
4. Undertake emergency and other assessments of needs, risks, and options for adults with the most complex/high-risk care needs and/or circumstances, in accordance with legislative requirements, all relevant policies and procedures and agreed performance targets.
5. To provide advice, information and guidance to customers and their carers ensuring that the relevant legislative framework and councils policies are adhered to.
6. To undertake Safeguarding Enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014.
7. Undertake Care Act 2014 assessment and support planning as a safeguarding protective measure when necessary.

Essential Requirements:

1. Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.
2. 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
3. Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation and practice.
4. Right to work in UK.
