Job summary

Smile Education is seeking a Qualified Teacher to join a large, welcoming SEN secondary school in Wolverhampton. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in a small-class setting, supporting students with diverse needs including autism, ADHD and SEMH.

The role welcomes both primary or secondary backgrounds; QTS is required. You will collaborate with Teaching Assistants, manage behaviour, adapt lessons, and uphold high expectations for progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• QTS is required to teach in the school.
• Experience with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable.
• Primary or Secondary teaching background will be considered.
• Ability to adapt lessons for a wide range of abilities and lead a classroom with Teaching Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to individual learning needs.
• Support secondary-aged students, including those working at a primary level.
• Work in small classes and lead learning activities.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and school staff.
• Build positive relationships and use effective behaviour management strategies.
