Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Physics Teacher to join a Birmingham secondary school with a strong Science Faculty. The role is full-time and long-term, with possible permanent prospects for the right candidate.

You will plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons, monitor student progress through assessments, and teach across KS3–KS5 under GCSE and A-Level specifications. The ideal candidate holds QTS with a Physics degree, has experience across KS3/KS4 (KS5 a bonus), and demonstrates excellent

The department benefits from purpose-built Science facilities and aims to stimulate students' interest in Science while developing their knowledge, understanding and practical skills.

The school is looking to appoint a Physics Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right Physics Teacher. The successful Physics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress through effective assessment and teach Physics across the secondary curriculum, with students following AQA specifications at GCSE and A-Level.

The successful Physics Teacher will have:

• QTS and a relevant degree in Physics or a related subject
• Experience teaching Physics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 experience desirable
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment strategies
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan engaging lessons that support and challenge students of different abilities
• A positive, reliable and collaborative approach to teaching and school life
