Job summary

Odin Recruitment Group is seeking a Part-Time Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to provide lunch-time cover in a nursery setting in Hildenborough, near Tonbridge. The role runs 11am–3pm, Monday to Thursday, 16 hours per week, with salary to be confirmed.

The successful candidate will support lunchtime activities, care for children, and help with meals while maintaining safe ratios and following EYFS guidelines.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 3 early years or childcare qualification.
• Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding.
• Caring, dependable and flexible approach.
• Confidence to work with different age groups and room teams.
• Availability from 11am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Support nursery rooms during the lunchtime period.
• Provide safe, attentive and nurturing care.
• Assist children with meals and routines.
• Support sleep, toileting and personal-care needs.
• Maintain staff-to-child ratios.
• Engage children in age-appropriate play and activities.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and food-hygiene procedures.
• Work flexibly across the nursery as required.
• Communicate with room teams and nursery management.

The role

• Engaging children in age‑appropriate play and activities
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and food-hygiene procedures
• Working flexibly across the nursery according to daily requirements
• Communicating effectively with room teams and nursery management
