Job summary

Lakeside Tree Nursery in Nottingham, ENG, GB, is seeking a qualified Electrician with broad building skills for an on-site, full-time role. The position covers electrical installation, maintenance, and small-scale refurbishments across our property portfolio.

You will work on sub-meters, rewires, EICR-related tasks, and related trades, with opportunities to handle quotes for larger projects. Requirements include NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent, 18th Edition BS 7671, and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent (C&G 2365/2357, or 236 Part 1 & 2 with AM2).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018 + A2:2022).
• Own registration with a Competent Person Scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA).
• Right to work in the UK and full UK driving licence.
• Able to travel; self-employed if possible and CIS registration.

Responsibilities

• Installation of sub-meters and distribution boards across let units.
• Full and partial rewires and consumer unit upgrades.
• Fault-finding and remedial works from EICRs, testing and certification.
• Solar panels and inverters installations; air-con units.
• General maintenance, small refurbishments, and minor carpentry/plumbing tasks.
• Prepare quotes for larger projects and keep progress records.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Qualified Electrician with broad general building skills to join our team.

Our company owns and manages a large portfolio of commercial and residential properties, and we require ongoing maintenance, rewiring and small-scale refurbishment work.

Key Responsibilities Installation of sub-meters across individual let units, including distribution boards and circuit identification Full and partial rewires, consumer unit upgrades, new circuits, first and second fix Fault-finding and remedial works arising from EICRs Testing, inspection and certification (EIC, Minor Works, EICR) Solar panels and inverters installations Air-con units installation. General maintenance of properties (internal & external) Carrying out small-scale refurbishments and alterations Basic plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating tasks Handling small repairs independently Providing quotes for larger projects before works are agreed Keeping records and communicating progress via email
