Job summary

Spring Nurseries by Action for Children is seeking an Early Years Practitioner (qualified level 3) at Rowlands Gill, Gateshead. You will support children 0-5 with engaging learning experiences and a safe, nurturing nursery environment.

The role offers 40 hours weekly, permanent full-time, with generous benefits and opportunities for professional development as part of a national charity nursery network.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of children’s development from 0-5 years and how this informs practice.
• Experience planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Understanding of the EYFS and how to support learning through play.
• Awareness of SEND and inclusive support in early years settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage children to learn through play.
• Build positive relationships with children, helping them feel safe, valued and confident.
• Observe and support children's development, recognizing needs, interests and progress.
• Work closely with colleagues and families to provide consistent, high-quality care and learning.
• Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
