Job summary

Spring Nurseries by Action for Children in Langport, Somerset, seeks an Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) on a permanent, full-time basis (40 hours per week). You’ll support 0-5s with engaging activities in a safe, inclusive setting, forging strong relationships with children and families.

Salary is up to £27,299 per annum, with opportunities for professional development and training. A Level 3 EY qualification and EYFS knowledge are required, with inclusion of SEND awareness.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of children's development from 0-5 years and how this informs practice.
• Experience planning and delivering engaging activities.
• Understanding of the EYFS and supporting learning through play.
• Awareness of SEND and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities for 0-5s.
• Build positive relationships with children to help them feel safe and valued.
• Observe and support development, noting individual needs and progress.
• Work with colleagues and families to provide high-quality care and learning.
• Create a safe, welcoming, inclusive nursery environment.
