Job summary

Randstad Education is partnering with a variety of nursery schools, preschools and day nurseries in the Huntingdon area to connect passionate Early Years Assistants with flexible working opportunities.

Choose day-by-day cover to control your schedule or consider longer fixed-term placements across maternity, sickness or interim gaps, gaining valuable experience in local settings. DBS check required or willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• EYFS qualifications listed above (Cache Level 2/3, NVQ 2/3, Foundation Degree, or EYTS/QTS).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework.
• Nurturing behaviour management and play-based learning skills.
• Adaptable, proactive approach to starting in new early years environments.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service or willingness to complete one.

What We Look For

• EYFS Qualifications: Cache Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Early Years/Childcare, Foundation Degree, or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS / QTS).
• A deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework.
• Nurturing behaviour management skills and the ability to inspire young learners through play‑based learning.
• An adaptable, proactive approach, ready to hit the ground running in new early years environments.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
