Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Nursery Teaching Assistants and Early Years Practitioners to work across nurseries, preschools and primary schools from September.

Roles include day-to-day supply, term-time work, or longer-term positions with flexible shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm. You’ll support EYFS learners, collaborate with staff and parents, and help create safe, inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification is desirable.
• Experience working in a nursery, preschool, childcare setting, or primary school.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, positive and proactive approach; DBS Update Service preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through engaging, play-based activities.
• Assist in creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, nursery staff, support staff, children, and parents.
• Support daily routines, classroom activities and personal care where required.
• Promote children's social, emotional and physical development in line with EYFS.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help children build confidence and independence.
