Job summary

Aspire People is offering flexible supply roles across Sandwell and Birmingham, enabling you to choose when and where you work while supporting children's learning. This role suits those returning to childcare or seeking extra hours, with assignments across multiple nurseries.

As a proactive Early Years Practitioner, you’ll deliver age-appropriate activities, uphold EYFS standards, and build strong relationships with children, families and staff.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (preferred).
• Paediatric First Aid certification, or willingness to complete a two-day First Aid training course.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
• Flexibility and confidence to adapt to different nursery settings.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through play and everyday activities.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Meet children's individual care and developmental needs.
• Observe, monitor and record children's progress where required.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and nursery colleagues.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
