Job summary

Bright Horizons Basingstoke Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a flexible Nursery Practitioner to join the Bright Flex / Bank team in Basingstoke. You will support EYFS delivery, engage children in learning activities and collaborate with a team to complete daily tasks while enjoying the benefits of staff coverage and stability as an employee.

The role requires a Level 3+ Early Years qualification, experience with children, and a passion for making learning fun.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in educational activities.
• Encourage development towards key milestones within a team.
• Help with day-to-day tasks such as room tidying and preparation.
