Job summary

The role requires collaboration with therapists and staff, a strong focus on safeguarding, and eligibility to work in the UK with a full DBS check.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification.
• Degree or equivalent qualification relevant to teaching.
• Proven experience in a primary or special school setting, ideally with SEMH needs or Autism Spectrum Conditions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals.
• A resilient, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Full enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons meeting individual pupil needs.
• Lead the development of a curriculum subject aligned with the National Curriculum and school objectives.
• Support every student to reach their potential across academic, social, and emotional domains.
• Design and deliver tailored lessons addressing each student's requirements.
• Foster a productive learning environment using effective behaviour management and prioritising welfare.
• Collaborate with professionals and external therapists to support student growth.
• Monitor student progress and generate reports for instructional planning.
• Maintain safeguarding protocols and participate in school community.
