Job summary

Astro Education invites applications for Supply Teacher roles in Manchester across Nursery, Primary, Secondary and SEN settings. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, supporting diverse needs, and building positive relationships with pupils and staff. Roles range from day-to-day supply to long-term assignments.

Ideal candidates hold QTS/QTLS, have experience across year groups, and are committed to pupil progress and inclusion. A DBS or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in Nursery, Primary, Secondary or SEN settings.
  • Strong commitment to pupil progress, wellbeing and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the curriculum.
  • Support pupils with diverse needs, including SEN, SEMH and EAL.
  • Create inclusive, ambitious learning environments.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs and school leaders.

Job description

Teacher / Supply Teacher – Manchester (Nursery, Primary, Secondary & SEN)

Location: Manchester
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Contract: Day-to-Day, Short Term, Long Term, Temp-to-Perm (via Astro Education)
Hours: Full Time / Part Time – Term Time Only
Salary: £150+ per day (dependent on experience)

The Role – Teacher / Supply Teacher

We are currently recruiting Teachers across:

  • Nursery & Early Years
  • Primary (Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2)

Your responsibilities may include:
