Job summary

Milk Education is seeking Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) teachers for emergency and last-minute cover in Durham and surrounding areas. You will step into varied classrooms, deliver lessons, and manage behaviour with confidence.

These flexible day-to-day roles suit teachers who can adapt quickly, work with little notice, and support pupils to stay engaged. The placements span primary and secondary settings across Durham and nearby locales.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and have recent teaching experience.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and adaptability for ad-hoc cover.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and day-to-day cover across local schools.
• Deliver lessons using existing plans and guidance.
• Manage classrooms confidently and maintain positive behaviour.
