Job summary

MTrec Ltd Technical seeks a proactive QSHE Lead to manage and develop the company’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental activities. You will drive best practice, lead cultural change and ensure robust procedures are in place across engineering and manufacturing operations.

With NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications and a strong track record in ISO standards, you will embed health and safety across processes, monitor performance metrics and mentor staff to achieve excellence in safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO9001 essential.
• NEBOSH and IOSH certifications required.
• Engineering or manufacturing background preferred.
• Ability to engage employees at all levels.
• Self-motivated and well-organised with strong time-management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental activity to maintain high standards and drive improvements.
• Promote cultural change and best practice across the organisation.
• Improve QSH&E procedures, standards and processes.
• Maintain compliance with current legislation.
• Ensure zero accidents/incidents culture and reduce incidents.
• Embed ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 within processes.
• Define QSH&E procedures with operating staff and maintain documentation.
• Monitor KPIs and produce data-driven reports.
• Review and implement improvements to existing policies.

The Company

Our clients are specialists in the engineering sector; due to growth they are looking for an QSHE Lead.

The Role

• You will lead Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental activity, ensuring the highest standards are in place, maintained and reviewed for improvement.
• Drive cultural change and behaviour, demonstrating best practice.
• Improve the companies' Quality Safety, Health and Environmental procedures, standards and processes.
• Maintain compliance against current legislation.
• Ensure a zero accident/incident culture within Safety, Health and Environmental matters.
• Implement systems to reduce accidents/incidents .
• Ensure standards are embedded in our processes e.g. ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001.
• Define Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
• Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports.
• Review existing policies, ensuring that any changes/improvements are implemented.
• Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Mentor and coach managers and staff, providing training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve the highest of standards.
• Ongoing monitoring of KPIs and objectives to ensure the company is working as effectively as possible.

The Person

• Experience of international standards ISO14001, 45001 and 9001 is essential.
• Previous engineering or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH and IOSH Certification.
• Ability to engage employees at all levels.
• Self-motivated.
• Very well-organised.
• Good time-management skills.
• Methodical approach.
