Job summary

Irwin & Colton is recruiting a QSHE Manager for a leading property organisation's M&E and Engineering division. Based in London with travel across the UK, you will establish and embed the QHSE framework, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct site audits, and support new contract set-ups from a safety perspective.

Working with engineering teams, clients and stakeholders, you will build a strong safety culture, implement systems and standards, and drive continuous improvement across the division.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma with IOSH membership or equivalent.
• Experience leading QSHE initiatives and developing safety policies.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Experience in facilities management or building services is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QSHE systems compliance and record-keeping.
• Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Assist with setup of new contracts from a QSHE perspective.
• Develop and deliver safety training and toolbox talks.
• Promote positive safety culture across the UK engineering network.

QSHE Manager

Salary circa £70,000 + car allowance and benefits.

Based in London with travel across the UK.

Irwin and Colton have been engaged to support a leading property organisation with the recruitment of a dedicated Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) Manager for its M&E and Engineering division.

This is a pivotal role in the development of new business, with responsibility for establishing and embedding the QHSE framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting site audits, supporting new contract set-ups from a H&S perspective, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Working closely with engineering teams, clients and key stakeholders, the QSHE Manager will play a key role in building a strong safety culture and putting the systems, processes and standards in place to support the division's future growth and development.

The successful QSHE Manager will:

• Oversee compliance with all QSHE-related systems and maintain accurate records.
• Perform regular site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Support the setup of new contracts, conducting initial QSHE assessments and documentation.
• Develop and deliver safety training and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
• Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the UK engineering network.

The ideal QSHE Manager will have:

• Health and Safety experience within facilities management or building services is ideal.
• NEBOSH Diploma with associated membership of IOSH or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and develop policies.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
