Job summary

Streamline Search is seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to join a well-established structural steel fabrication and construction business in Scotland. This hands-on role leads Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) across the business, ensuring compliance while driving a positive safety culture.

Key responsibilities include developing policies, conducting audits, maintaining ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001, delivering toolbox talks, and liaising with HSE and others.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent - essential.
  • At least 5 years' HSQE management experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, fabrication or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Experience managing ISO systems and third-party accreditations.
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • A practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and valid CSCS card - essential.
  • IOSH, Internal Auditor qualifications and a relevant degree would be advantageous.

  • Develop safe systems of work and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, training and guidance to employees and management.
  • Manage external accreditations including Achilles, CIRAS, RISQS and ISO certifications.
  • Liaise with external bodies including the HSE, local authorities and Environment Agency.
  • Support compliance with relevant UK legislation and the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Maintain accurate HSQE records and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent
