Job summary

TED Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager for its Birmingham office. The candidate should be nearing APC for RICS qualification, with a couple of years post-graduation experience in a consultancy environment.

Projects include high-value cladding remediation for large residential buildings, plus education, healthcare and commercial work. Strong cost management and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years post-graduation experience with a consultancy / PQS
• APC toward becoming RICS qualified
• Recognised UK qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Experience in cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering with financial reporting
• Ability to prepare cost plans, budgets and tender documentation; procure contractors and suppliers
• Experience with JCT contracts; ability to organise meetings and take minutes
• Interest in a mix of quantity surveying and project management; strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering across projects
• Prepare cost plans, budgets and tender documentation; procure contractors and suppliers
• Manage financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate meetings, take minutes and liaise with clients and stakeholders
