Job summary

Glendale in Milton Keynes is seeking a QHSE Compliance Officer to champion contract and regulatory compliance across our UK contracts. The role balances on-site rigour with high-level oversight from a central office, driving risk identification, corrective actions, and a culture of compliance.

You will lead audits, enforce standards, and influence senior leadership, subcontractors, and operations to embed robust governance across environmental, health & safety, and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Proven background in QHSE management, auditing, or compliance assurance (preferably within services, facilities management, or regulated service contracts).
• Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Environmental Certificate).
• ISO 14001 Lead or Internal Auditor certification.
• Knowledge of UK H&S legislation, waste regulations, and sustainability metrics.
• Valid UK Driving Licence and willingness to undertake regular travel with overnight stays across the country.

Responsibilities

• National Compliance Auditing & Monitoring: Plan, execute, and evaluate regular on-site audits across national contracts.
• Governance, Risk Management & Technical Advisory: Act as SME on contract law, waste management, and QHSE risk mitigation.
• Stakeholder Communication & Engagement: Deliver clear, executive-ready reports and briefings; train staff with SOPs and toolbox talks.
• Support external regulatory inspections and provide board-level reporting.
