Overall Purpose of the Job

To promote safe, responsible, and compliant operations throughout the area of responsibility, ensuring that HSEQ methods and systems are implemented, used consistently, and monitored regularly, providing appropriate support to managers and employees.

Key Activities And Accountabilities

  • Act as the focal point for all HSEQ matters in the area of responsibility, including providing advice on relevant legislation and liaising with government and external bodies as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Expro HSEQ methods and systems to maintain consistency and understanding of goals.
  • Support managers in achieving HSEQ targets and goals, promoting awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Explain HSEQ policies, standards, and directives to managers and employees; suggest training as necessary.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing risk assessments, manual handling, and COSHH assessments; maintain emergency response plans including drills and training.
  • Ensure incidents and near misses are reported, investigated, and corrective actions are implemented and closed out.
  • Monitor HSEQ performance, support reporting requirements, and facilitate dissemination of HSEQ information.
  • Conduct or arrange audits and site inspections to identify and control hazards.
  • Contribute HSEQ input to bids as required.
  • Provide HSE and Quality training, including inductions for new hires and contractors.
  • Participate in safety and quality meetings within the area of responsibility.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an HSEQ environment.
  • Understanding of HSEQ management systems.
  • IRCA 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
