QC Section Leader - North Wales

Location: North Wales – Site based, commutable from Deeside, Wrexham, Chester

About the Role

Are you an experienced QC Section Leader seeking the next step in your career? Do you want to develop your skills within an award-winning global pharmaceutical company?

We have a rare opportunity for a QC Section Leader at one of the UK’s largest generic pharmaceutical companies. Reporting to the QC Manager, you will:

  1. Manage the analytical testing of solid dose products using HPLC, GC, UV, and IR.
  2. Lead a team of analysts, ensuring product releases meet high standards of quality and consistency.
  3. Ensure all testing complies with cGMP, ALCOA+, Health and Safety, and COSHH regulations.
  4. Critically review analytical data and approve products for further processing when specifications are met.
  5. Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Candidate Requirements
  • BSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a relevant scientific degree, with significant QC experience.
  • Experience managing QC workloads, including preparing work schedules.
  • Proven experience in leading OOS/OOT investigations and deviations.
  • Experience representing QC at audits and liaising with regulatory affairs.
  • Experience in analytical method transfer, verification, and validation (preferred).
