CK Group is recruiting for a QC Microbiologist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based at their site in Wrexham. This is a contract role starting from mid-June 2025, lasting for 6 months. The role involves shift work (4 days on, 4 days off).

Salary: £14.15 per hour plus £3.39 per hour shift allowance.

QC Microbiologist Role:
  • Perform Environmental Monitoring (EM) of clean rooms and controlled environments according to testing schedules and manufacturing activities.
  • Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process, and final products for microbial contamination within specified timeframes.
  • Identify microbial isolates efficiently to the correct level.
  • Test culture media to ensure availability of stock.
  • Maintain laboratory stock levels supporting microbiological activities.
  • Adhere to current GMP requirements for sterile medicinal products while performing tasks.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of US/EU cGMPs as applied to biopharmaceutical testing and their practical application.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization.
  • Hold a degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Have experience in a microbiology laboratory role.
  • Minimum requirements: experience in a laboratory or cGMP production environment.
