Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a QC Microbiologist, to join a leading biopharmaceutical company, based at their site in Wrexham. This is a contract role from Mid-June 2025, and will run for 6 months. The role will be a shift position (4 on, 4 off).


Salary:

£14.15 per hour plus £3.39 per hour shift allowance.


QC Microbiologist Role:

  • Perform Environmental Monitoring (EM) of clean rooms and controlled environments in accordance with current testing schedules and manufacturing activities.
  • Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process and final product for microbial contamination within required time frames.
  • Perform identification of microbial isolates to the correct level within an efficient timeframe.
  • Perform QC testing of culture media to maintain available stocks.
  • Maintain laboratory stock levels to support microbiological activities.
  • Perform assigned tasks whilst, at all times, adhering to current GMP requirements for sterile medicinal products.

Your Background:
  • Thorough working knowledge of US/EU cGMPs as applied to Biopharmaceutical testing and their practical application.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization.
  • Degree in scientific discipline.
  • Experience in a microbiology laboratory role.
  • Minimum: Experience within a laboratory or cGMP production environment.
