Partner Job CK Group- Science, Clinical and Technical

Position: QC Microbiologist

CK Group is recruiting for a QC Microbiologist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based in Wrexham. This is a contract role starting mid-June 2025, lasting for 6 months. The role operates on a shift pattern (4 days on, 4 days off).

Salary: £14.15 per hour plus a £3.39 per hour shift allowance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform Environmental Monitoring (EM) of clean rooms and controlled environments according to testing schedules and manufacturing activities.
  2. Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process, and final products for microbial contamination within specified timeframes.
  3. Identify microbial isolates accurately and efficiently.
  4. Perform QC testing of culture media and maintain stock levels.
  5. Maintain laboratory stock levels to support microbiological activities.
  6. Adhere to current GMP requirements for sterile medicinal products while performing assigned tasks.
Candidate Background:
  1. Thorough knowledge of US/EU cGMPs as applied to biopharmaceutical testing.
  2. Experience working in a matrix organization.
  3. Degree in a scientific discipline.
  4. Experience in a microbiology laboratory role.
  5. Minimum experience within a laboratory or cGMP production environment.
