  • Provide technical leadership, guidance and support to the wider QC inspection team.
  • Create, modify and verify CMM programmes, ensuring measurement strategies are accurate and effective.
  • Develop, review and improve inspection plans, methods and measurement techniques.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in QC inspection or metrology within a precision engineering environment.
  • Proven experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T and geometric tolerances.
  • Experience using a range of metrology equipment and advanced measurement techniques.
  • The ability to develop inspection methods and appropriate measurement strategies.
  • Experience interpreting complex drawings and resolving measurement discrepancies.
  • Good knowledge of quality management systems, ideally including AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Experience completing FAIRs, AS9102 and other inspection documentation.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • The confidence and ability to share technical knowledge and support the development of others.

Experience with 3D laser scanning technology would be particularly advantageous. Previous supervisory or managerial experience would also be beneficial.
