Job summary

Igloo Ltd is recruiting an experienced QC Inspector for our busy automotive operation in Long Bennington. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring vehicles meet required quality standards before delivery, with a strong eye for detail.

You will perform detailed inspections, record defects, complete inspection reports, and use handheld devices. A full UK licence and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle inspection or quality control.
• Ability to identify defects accurately.
• Full UK Driving Licence with up to 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed quality inspections on completed vehicles.
• Identify and record cosmetic, mechanical, and preparation-related defects.
• Ensure vehicles meet customer and manufacturer standards prior to release.
• Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately.
• Use handheld devices and internal systems to record inspection findings.
• Liaise with workshop and preparation teams to rectify issues identified.
• Support continuous improvement by highlighting recurring quality concerns.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced QC Inspector to join a busy automotive operation in Long Bennington. This is a hands‑on role working within a fast‑paced vehicle preparation environment, ensuring vehicles meet the required quality standards before being released for delivery.

The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a passion for quality, and the ability to identify and record defects accurately while working closely with operational teams.

The Role:

As a QC Inspector, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out detailed quality inspections on completed vehicles
• Identifying and recording cosmetic, mechanical, and preparation-related defects
• Ensuring vehicles meet customer and manufacturer standards prior to release
• Completing inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
• Using handheld devices and internal systems to record inspection findingsLiaising with workshop and preparation teams to rectify any issues identified
• Supporting continuous improvement by highlighting recurring quality concerns
• Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
• Following all company health and safety procedures

The Person:

• Previous experience in vehicle inspection, quality control, PDI, or a similar automotive role
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
• Good understanding of vehicle condition standards
• Confident using handheld devices and computer systems
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high standards
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
