Job summary

Igloo Ltd in Wyton is seeking an experienced QC Inspector to join a busy automotive operation, performing hands-on quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet required standards before delivery.

You will record findings using handheld devices and internal systems, liaise with workshop teams, and contribute to continuous improvement. Weekly pay and onsite parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in vehicle inspection or quality control is required.
• Strong eye for detail and a quality-focused approach is essential.
• Good understanding of vehicle condition standards is needed.
• Confident with handheld devices and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out detailed quality inspections on completed vehicles
• Identifying and recording cosmetic, mechanical, and preparation-related defects
• Ensuring vehicles meet customer and manufacturer standards prior to release
• Completing inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
• Using handheld devices and internal systems to record inspection findings
• Liaising with workshop and preparation teams to rectify any issues identified
• Supporting continuous improvement by highlighting recurring quality concerns
• Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
• Following all company health and safety procedures

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced QC Inspector to join a busy automotive operation in Wyton. This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced vehicle preparation environment, ensuring vehicles meet the required quality standards before being released for delivery.

The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a passion for quality, and the ability to identify and record defects accurately while working closely with operational teams.

The Role:

As a QC Inspector, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out detailed quality inspections on completed vehicles
• Identifying and recording cosmetic, mechanical, and preparation-related defects
• Ensuring vehicles meet customer and manufacturer standards prior to release
• Completing inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
• Using handheld devices and internal systems to record inspection findings

The Person:

• Previous experience in vehicle inspection, quality control, PDI, or a similar automotive role
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
• Good understanding of vehicle condition standards
• Confident using handheld devices and computer systems
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high standards
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
